
These codes are for members, visitors and organisers of private events, when using the facilities of Alsager Golf & Country Club.
Alsager is a friendly club, always welcoming guests and new members, Our codes for dress and conduct reflect this.
Our basic principle is respect for members and guests, the course, the clubhouse and the local community.
Dress code is simple: smart but casual dress in and around the club house. Hats should not be worn in the club house, except for social or formal occasions. There may be more formal dress codes for specific events such as presentation evenings and dinners. The dress code for such events will be advertised in the appropriate notices and e-mails.
On the course smart golf clothes should be worn, shirts must have collars and be tucked in. Smart trousers, skirts or shorts are acceptable. Jeans, tee shirts or football shirts are not permitted. All golfers should wear specialist golf shoes. Golfers should avoid bringing golfing equipment through the club house, unless this is unavoidable.
Mobile phones are allowed in the club house, but should be used with regard to other members and guests present. It is recommended that all calls are made and received in the lobby areas where possible. On the course mobile phones are allowed for emergency use, and should be used with due regard to playing partners and other users of the course.
No smoking is allowed inside the club house, this applies to all types of smoking including electronic, or other similar smoking devices.
We expect members and guests to give due regard to others members, guests and staff in their conduct around the club house and on the course. Foul and abusive language is not acceptable.
It is the responsibility of members and organisers of private function using the facilities of the golf club to adhere to these codes, and to see that they are upheld by other members or guests.
Are serious breach of these codes should be referred initially to any of the club officials.
